The Chicago Executive Women’s Networking Group aspires to cultivate and nurture relationships among senior-level women in IT leadership roles (i.e., CIO, CTO, Vice President, or Director) through events/programs. Founded more than eight years ago by ClearEdge Marketing, Harvey Nash, and McCann Partners—and now in partnership with the Illinois Technology Association—the group meets quarterly to share real world experiences, insights from industry pundits, market trends, technology innovation, and the impact of technology on the Chicago female IT community.
Formed in 1999 to develop 1,000 community leaders by 2020, i.c.stars is a Chicago-based non-profit organization for adults with a high school diploma or GED. Participants partake in an intensive two-year practicum, beginning with a four-month program consisting of project-based learning and full immersion teaching to develop change-driven, future leaders skilled in business and technology. The program is grounded in the conviction that the fundamentals necessary to succeed in technology services are the same as those necessary for community leadership. i.c.stars believes that when young adults focus their talent both on technology services and community impact, their success in both increases significantly.
